The Accountant (2016)
(R) 128 mins

A high-functioning autistic man is hired to root out a discrepancy in the accounts at a highly lucrative company. Does he need a computer? Excel? Quickbooks? No! This man is a genius. All he needs are the hard copies of expense sheets (no matter that there are thousands) and a room full of whiteboards, and he’ll solve it in one night. But, he unwittingly uncovers a conspiracy – and the conspirators want him dead. Little do they know, the very same autistic accountant is also a highly trained sharpshooter, a black belt in martial arts, and owns a wide assortment of guns and ammunition. You’d need a small army to take him down – but is your army big enough?

In all seriousness, if you can accept all of that, it’s not a bad film. It’s fun at times. For me however, it was a bit much. It makes the events in ‘The Dark Knight’ seem downright believable; that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it lacks the same amount of fun.
