City Lights (1931)
(approved) 87 mins

One of, if not the, greatest film in Charlie Chaplinís large repertoire (ooh, vocab). As Iíve stated many times before (and will continue to), Chaplin is probably the greatest physical comedian ever captured on film. That alone should be reason enough to check out ĎCity Lights.í It is consistently mentioned as one of the funniest movies ever made, and while I donít think it is Chaplinís funniest (Iíd have to leave that to ĎModern Timesí), it could be his best, as I will probably never forget the heart-wrenching finale. Is heart-wrenching a word? I guess it is if it has a hyphen right?
