Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
(R) 108 mins

I'll admit it…I've actually thought about the premise. What if I could just erase the memory of an ex? Would I be better off? Charlie Kaufmann answers the question: probably not. But that's not really the point of the film. The point is…well there's too much to mention for me to write it in a little blurb. Just suffice it to say that it's a fun ride. How much fun exactly? Well, to be honest words can't describe some of the scenes…in fact one of the most memorable scenes in a film I can remember. And I should definitely mention that Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet each give probably their best performances I've ever seen. You really get a sense that if these two people really met they'd have immediate chemistry. And I shouldn't overlook some of the supporting performances: Elijah Woods, Tom Wilkinson, Mark Ruffalo and *drool* Kirsten Dunst.
