Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984)

It's the year 1984. How can you not adapt George Orwell's classic vision of the future which is said to take place now? So that's what they did. What they ended up with is more an interpretation of the novel than a telling of a story. So, having not read the book myself, I found the film relatively difficult to follow. There is little story involved, merely a presentation of a fantastic world where 'Big Brother' is watching over us. If you've read the book, see the movie. If you haven't however, you'll probably be left as I was at the end of the film, thinking, huh? This is a movie? What was the point of all that?
