Se7en (1995)
‘Se7en,’ simply put, is one of the better suspense flicks I’ve seen. Director David Fincher does a great job of creating a sort of slimy mood of the city to reflect the lives of the detectives. Each believes that the world is full of creeps who just need a nudge to go off the edge. It has a very clever script full of interesting twists and surprises. The shots of the crime scenes are stunningly real and disgusting at the same time. That sloth dude scared the shit outta me. Add Kevin Spacey as a brilliant killer, Morgan Freeman as a wizened detective, Brad Pitt, who’s the man in every movie he’s in, and Gwyneth Paltrow as his lonely wife, and you have yourself a movie that will be remembered for time to come.
